Researchers, Professionals Meet at French Poultry Research Days

FRANCE - Registration is open for the Poultry Research Days to meet the needs of operators of poultry sectors.

A meeting place for researchers and professionals of poultry science, the Poultry Research Days will be held on 25 and 26 March 2015 in Tours.

This congress is organised by ITAVI, INRA, ANSES and CTCPA, with the support of the French branches of the World Poultry Science Association (WPSA) and the World Veterinary Poultry Association (WVPA), two international poultry farming organisations.

The first day is intended for professionals and will cover poultry competitiveness; poultry farming and society; hygiene and quality of products in Europe and America; genetics selection strategies; protein self-sufficiency and the use of antibiotics.

The presentation of research results is the main focus of the second day, with information on economics; sustainability, rearing systems and environment; pathology and disease prevention; poultry products hygiene and quality; genetics and reproduction and nutrition.

Each session will be introduced by a series of overviews, dealing with topical subjects, from the work of collaboration between researchers and practitioners. These eight overviews will be accompanied by more than 70 targeted short communications. More than 130 posters will be exhibited for attendees during the breaks.
