Belarus has introduced temporary restrictions on the import of poultry from Bulgaria, BelTA learned from the department for veterinary and food supervision at the Agriculture and Food Ministry of the Republic of Belarus.

The World Organization for Animal Health reported on cases of high pathogenic avian influenza (H5) in Burgas Oblast, Bulgaria.

As a result, Belarus has introduced temporary restrictions on the import of live birds, hatching eggs, wild, zoo and circus animals, poultry, egg powder and other food products from processed eggs, down and feather, feed and feed additives from birds, feed of vegetable origin, hunting trophies (bird game), and also second-hand equipment for keeping and slaughtering birds from that territory.
