The Aviagen® Kft roadshow focused heavily on the advancements in nutrition and the increased profit for broilers.

Attendance was excellent with so many local breeders opting for the Ross® 308 broiler. The roadshow visited several places in Slovakia and Czech Republic and included a number of speakers.

Leonardo Linares, Aviagen nutritionist specialist in Europe, introduced the new Ross 308 broiler nutrition specifications. Guest speaker, Martin Rishoj from MR Opti in Denmark highlighted the main focus points such as early feeding, correct temperature and water quality based on his own, extensive experience.

Health and vaccination were also discussed as Dr Zoltán Marton from the Global Veterinarian Team talked about his experiences around the world and answered questions from the interested attendees. Marcel Janssen, Regional Technical Manager for Aviagen Kft and LLC gave some insight into the Dutch broiler market setup, discussing how Dutch broiler farmers have used the efficiency savings to maximise potential and profit.

Robert Roszkopf, Regional Business Director for Aviagen Kft commented: “We were very happy to see a lot of broiler farmers at this event. More than 200 people attended the roadshow. Most of them working and already obtaining good results with the 308 broiler but always keen to improve and learn more. It’s our job to help them do this. Sharing experience and open discussion is really important for our business.

“All the speakers gathered a huge amount of interest. In particular, demonstrating how to use the correct feed at the right point in the growing period attracted the most comments. We look forward to meeting and working with the attendees again.”

Another roadshow delegate, Michal Hájek, Managing Director of Vodnanské Kure, part of Agrofert Group commented: “All our farm managers attended this event. Anyone who wasn’t there was either placing or depleting flocks! We have several new faces in our team and they need to get information from the experts. We try to achieve the best economical results in broiler growing and Aviagen support us in the right way.”
