Twenty delegates attended the seminar, held in Cairo, which provided the latest technical information on stock management, including biosecurity, litter, feeding, ventilation and on identifying potential problems early on in broiler flocks.

The seminar was organised by Bulent Tanyildizi, Ross International Commercial Manager and Dr Ibrahim Ibrahim, Ross International Technical Manager.

Dr Ibrahim said: “We worked closely with Wadi Group, supporting an extensive programme to offer the latest practical advice to its customer service team, on how to optimise Ross flock performance. Aviagen and Wadi are equally committed to maintaining a high level of support to Egyptian customers in all of aspects of poultry management.”

Dr Mazen El Sharif, Sales and Technical Manager, Wadi Group said: “Since the very beginning of Wadi poultry operations in Egypt our focus has been on customer technical service, giving a hand to the farmer raising his chicks to gain maximum profit. This means that Wadi is still investing in hiring and training more technical people, compared with other suppliers, to fully support Ross distribution in Egypt.”

Finally, Professor Dr Hussein Ali, Veterinary Health Department Manager, Wadi Group, presented to delegates on current flock health status within Egypt and provided insight in to differential diagnosis of diseases.

He added: “The training sessions were very important for sharing experiences between Wadi customer service teams and examining field issues and how to deal with these problems to maintain strong performances.”
