The animal health laboratory at the University of Guelph has notified the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) of a 'presumptive H5 avian influenza' infection at a third farm in Oxford county, reports Toronto Sun.

The CFIA has yet to comment on the spread of this outbreak to a third farm. This particular operation – a turkey farm – was already under quarantine, having been part of the second containment area that was established on 19 April.

Samples from the affected farm have been sent for official confirmation.
