The popular event attracted customers from over 20 countries, all of whom gathered to discuss industry business and formulate or renew professional relationships with peers and Aviagen senior staff.

Group attending the seminar

Balázs Takács, General Manager, Aviagen Kft, and Marcel Janssen, Regional Technical Manager, Eastern Europe & CIS, opened the seminar with an industry summary and comprehensive update from the region.

Attendees were given the opportunity to ask questions of the seminar’s presenters; Magnus Swalander, R&D Director, spoke on breeding techniques. Other presenters included: Leonardo Linares, Technical Services Nutritionist, who focused on feeding and nutrition. Tímea Torma, QA Manager, led a discussion on optimizing hatchability, and Martin Rishøj, Industry Consultant, presented his insight into the Scandinavian market.

The seminar closed with a Flock Awards ceremony and evening entertainment.

Balázs said: “We are happy that we had a chance to host our customers in Budapest again. We presented valuable information relevant to our customers and to our industry.”

“This programme gave us the opportunity to deepen our relationships with new and existing customers. Meeting in person and sharing thoughts and experiences is invaluable and we feel we hosted a memorable and successful event. Our customers returned home satisfied that their precious time away from the office was beneficial to both them and their businesses, which is what we like to hear.”

Tamaz Tsikarishvili of Sabudara Ltd commented:

“This is the third time I have attended the CEE seminar and as usual, the seminar was very well organized. Ms. Timea Torma’s presentation on incubation was very interesting and I was also extremely impressed with Leonardo Linares’ presentation about feeding and nutrition in broiler breeders. Leonardo described how to decrease the expenses connected with feed production while maintaining performance levels.

“All the presenters showed a high level of knowledge and professionalism and I’d like to thank the organisers for the useful and interesting programme.”

Richard Mach, MACH DRUBEZ AS, Czech Republic, summed up his event experience: “I really enjoyed this well organised seminar in a beautiful location. Meetings such as this give us the opportunity to meet people from different countries, who are in the same business, so we have a chance to compare not only our results but also the methods in which they are achieved. At the same time we have great access to the speakers to discuss the topics of their presentations and any specific aspects which are relevant to our business.”
