VIET NAM - A backyard poultry operation in Tra Vinh province in Viet Nam has suffered from an outbreak of avian influenza.

By: There were 1036 cases, affecting all of the susceptible flock. There were 852 deaths from the disease and 184 animals were destroyed to prevent the disease spreading.
Stamping out, disinfection and surveillance measures have been enacted.
