CHINA - A farm holding black swans and peacocks has suffered an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza.

By: The H5N6 outbreak infected 165 birds on the farm in Hunan province. 91 of them died, and over one thousand birds were destroyed as a result of the outbreak.
Movement controls, screening and disinfection have been used to control the outbreak.
