Nine Newcastle Disease Outbreaks Reported in Israel
ISRAEL - Nine outbreaks of Newcastle Disease have been reported this week in Israel.

By: Layers, broilers, and turkeys were all affected in the outbreaks in Hazafon, Hamerkaz, Hadarom and Haifa regions.
There were thought to be over 45,000 cases on these farms, although some information was missing about the infection rates. Over 298,000 birds were destroyed to prevent the outbreaks spreading.
As well as stamping out and disinfection measures, the country is employing vaccination in response to the outbreaks.
