Bird Flu Outbreaks Kill Thousands of Birds in Togo

TOGO - Two outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza have been found in Togo, on semi-modern farms without biosecurity measures, according to reports to the World Organisation of Animal Health (OIE).

Over 11,000 birds died and another 3030 were destroyed in the outbreaks in Région Maritime. The outbreaks were of the H5N1 strain.
