Merial Appoints Julien Gros as Head of Avian, Asia Region

GLOBAL - Merial, the animal health division of Sanofi, announced the appointment of Julien Gros to the position of Head of Avian, Asia Region. He will be based in Singapore.

The Asia region represents the largest potential in the poultry health category with 57 per cent of the global eggs consumption and 35 per cent of the global poultry meat consumption. In Asia, Merial is the leader in the Avian Biological segment.

Merial’s mission is to help our customers to better and safely feed the world through comprehensive avian health solutions - vaccines, veterinary expertise, vaccination technology, and services - that improve the health and productivity of their flocks and the efficiency of their operations.

Prior to joining Merial in 2008, Julien was a consultant for human health companies and Merial. Julien first joined the company in Supply Chain and Global Procurement before becoming Senior Marketing Manager in the Avian team in 2012, where he was responsible for ensuring the implementation of the Avian strategic plan for existing and future products while supporting the development of new products during the research and development stages up to the market launch.

Since early 2015, Julien has been Director, Global KAM Planning & Effectiveness, setting the Global Avian KAM strategy planning and supporting the Key Account activities.

Julien has a degree in Polymer Chemistry Engineering and a MBA in Technology & Innovation Management.
