After launching with turkey breast and medallions, a wide variety of products are now sold under the PavaPava brand, including drumsticks, wings, and other ready-to-cook products. The Pava-Pava brand was developed to promote turkey products manufactured at the Tambov Turkey facility, a joint venture between Cherkizovo Group and Grupo Fuertes, Spain’s leading agricultural producer.

Turkey meat’s share of total meat consumption in Russia is currently only 6 per cent. Nonetheless, this figure is rising year-on-year as consumers are increasingly turning to turkey meat as a healthy alternative to other meats due to its low sodium and fat levels. There is, therefore, huge growth potential for the PavaPava brand.

Tambov Turkey is a landmark facility for Cherkizovo Group consisting of a hatchery with an annual capacity of 5.9 million eggs, a feed mill with an annual production capacity of 180,000 tons and a grain storage facility capable of storing 90,000 tons of grain. Once full production capacity of 50,000 tons of turkey meat has been achieved, Cherkizovo Group will become one of Russia’s top turkey producers.
