The decision to lift the ban has been prompted by the official information of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), which stated that 'high-virulence bird flu' poses no threat to these countries.

ARKA News Agency reports that import of all types of meat as well as feathers, eggs etc, is no longer prohibited.

The ban was imposed on 9 February 2017.
