Cherkizovo Group reports increase in poultry sales during November

RUSSIA, 12 December 2018 - Russian meat giant Cherkizovo Group has announced an increase in chicken sales volumes for November 2018

Last month, the company sold 47.51 thousand tonnes compared to the 44.91 thousand tonnes during the same period last year, indicating a seven percent rise in volume sales.

A five percent increase has also been noted compared to October 2018, the company reported.

The average price of chicken also went up during November 2018, with prices of RUB112.35/kg, compared to RUB84.95/kg last year, showing an increase of 32 percent.

Compared to last month, Cherkizovo reported that chicken prices rose by four percent, where the price was RUB107.71/kg.

During November 2018, turkey sales dropped by a mere 5 percent at 3.16 thousand tonnes compared to 3.34 thousand tonnes during the same month in 2017.

However, the average turkey price last month rose by 42 percent where the figure is RUB182.32/kg compared to RUB128.29/kg during November 2017.

Compared to October 2018, the average price of turkeys was RUB176.06/kg, noting a four percent rise.
