Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, vice-chairman of the DPRK State Affairs Commission and vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee, inspected the Hadang Chicken Farm and the Poultry Engineering Institute under the Academy of Agricultural Science

During the inspection of the chicken farm, Choe Ryong Hae underlined the need to "add glory to the honour of the farm as a unit associated with leadership exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il" by settling the issue of breeding good species, making effective use of the "sci-tech learning space", carrying out the breeding in a scientific way and automating production processes and introducing production lines into them.

At the institute he said that it should correctly set the goals of research as it plays an important role in developing the country's poultry farming and should attain the goals step by step and settle sci-tech problems in time by giving full authority to the creativity of researchers.
