During the week of May 6-11 Aviagen® China welcomed close to 100 grandparent (GP) and parent-stock (PS) customers to Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. The occasion was China’s 13th annual Production Management School, where hatchery managers, veterinarians, flock managers and other poultry professionals together explored the best practices for broiler and breeder management success.

Balancing hands-on learning with classroom theory, the curriculum addressed strict biosecurity at the feed mill, hatchery and farm for keeping harmful pathogens out of the food chain, as well as nutrition, ventilation, and other management topics critical to chick quality, health and welfare.

Aviagen’s Arbor Acres® and Ross® brands of broiler breeding stock are popular with growers throughout the region for their feed efficiency, environmental hardiness, livability and healthy growth rate. The annual Production Management School numbers among multiple opportunities organised by Aviagen China to meet with customers and share the latest breeding advances for maximising the performance of these birds as well as the success of their businesses.
