Both the British Pig & Poultry Fair and the Grassland & Muck Event have been cancelled until further notice according to the latest announcement.

"In light of the Prime Minister’s address on 16 March, both events will not take place in 2020," explained an event spokesperson.

"While we are sorry to have to make this announcement to cancel, it is the right decision to protect the health of the industry and indeed the wider population in these unprecedented circumstances.

"We will be in touch in due course to confirm future plans for both events."

In an official announcement, the event organisers said that they will be monitoring the situation and will inform exhibitors and visitors should the situation change.

"We continue to follow advice from the UK Government, World Health Organisation and Public Health England."
