France identifies case of highly pathogenic bird flu in Corsica
France has reported a highly pathogenic strain of bird flu in the pet section of a shop in one of Corsica’s main cities.

By: Reuters reports that France’s farm ministry confirmed the case on 16 November. Europe has been contending with multiple bird flu outbreaks in recent weeks.
In a statement, the ministry said all the birds in the shop have been euthanised, adding that the whole of France would be put on high alert level as of Tuesday 17 November.
