UK identifies another case of highly pathogenic bird flu

Animal health officials have confirmed an outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N8 bird flu in birds in north of England.

A statement from the UK’s Animal and Plant Health Agency has confirmed cases of H5N8 bird flu in both captive birds and poultry near Willington, Derbyshire.

This latest outbreak comes after new biosecurity advice for poultry and bird keepers came into force on 14 December.
