It's been just a couple of months since it took on the new site, the company said in a press release.

While the site is not yet fully operational, a team of 25 successfully deboned thigh filets. The company plans to continue its trial period by optimising equipment and training employees in key skills before beginning production on a wider range of products.

The team at the site has installed over 1200 meters of pipework for water, gas and air, and over 1600 metre of cables to the new lines and ancillary equipment in just 8 weeks.

Avara Foods has committed approximately £4.7 million (US $6.3 million) to its new facility. The company hopes to be fully operational in January.
