Poultry equipment supplier Big Dutchman and the Dutch producer and exporter for organic fertilizer Ferm O Feed have agreed a sales cooperation. Effective immediately, customers will benefit from the knowledge of both companies. Ferm O Feed is part of family-owned company Den Ouden Groep located in the Netherlands.

Big Dutchman offers fully automatic pellet plants of different sizes for small and larger farms. “Using BD PelletBox 750 and BD PelletTower, egg producers are able to produce high-quality pellets from poultry manure. They can thus process residues very effectively even at difficult locations. Our current and prospective customers can now count on the experience of one of Europe’s largest distributors of poultry manure pellets,” says Stefan Hinners, Big Dutchman Director Sales Europe.

Ferm O Feed produces and exports approximately 85,000 tons of organic fertilizer (Fertiplus) to 70 different countries all around the globe per year. The company has over 25 years of experience in producing and distributing organic fertilizers, biostimulants, beneficial soil fungi and bacteria, all mainly used in professional horticulture and on agricultural farms.

“Ferm o Feed was looking to expand its business when we came across Big Dutchman’s options for producing organic fertilizers at farm scale. These local units will allow us to produce organic fertilizers more locally and to reduce costs for transport to our customers, therefore providing poultry farms with a circular, sustainable solution to add value to chicken manure,” says Rob den Ouden, Ferm O Feed Sales Director.
