On 12 July, Poland's Chief Veterinary Inspector received information from Cuban authorities on the lifting of a ban on the export of poultry meat. As of 6 July, exports of poultry meat will now be accepted from the entire country.

Cuban authorities lifted the ban because Poland fulfilled all World Organisation for Animal Health guidelines to remove the risk of spreading highly pathogenic avian influenza.
