The Netherlands investigates two possible cases of avian influenza

According to a Wageningen UR update, two possible cases of avian influenza are under investigation on Dutch poultry farms.

The first case, reported yesterday, involves 66,000 broilers on a commercial farm in Blija.

The second case, reported today, involves 41,000 laying hens on a commercial farm in Barnevelde.

The last case of H5N1 avian influenza occurred on 18 August in Lunteren. Some 3,000 ducks were impacted.
