For the first time since the start of the COVID pandemic, the Aviagen^® Asia Ross^® team and their customers gathered in person for the Ross Asia Training Seminar (RATS), which took place Oct. 18-20 in Bangkok. Attendees were excited to be together once more and exchange thoughts on the theme of “Working together during challenging times.” Some sessions were broadcast live to extend the knowledge transfer to wider teams and those unable to travel.

Aviagen team members and invited external experts engaged with Ross customers on a variety of hot topics that are relevant to their business: Performance objectives, trends and benchmarking; sustainable housing; optimal nutrition in the face of rising feed prices; disease prevention and control; biosecurity; and fertility management were just a few subjects explored. Customers particularly enjoyed the interactive workshops and collaborative activities.

In doing so, we are also supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) of Quality Education, which is essential to the ongoing success of poultry producers and their ability to feed their communities.”

“It was great to once again meet with our Aviagen Asia team and industry colleagues,” remarked Yosef Arisanto, Head Farm PS Broiler of Charoen Pokphand Jaya Farm. “We were especially interested in the latest 2022 Broiler Performance Objectives, which provide us with a vital benchmarking tool for enhancing the performance of our birds.”
