New podcast explores Queensland Bird and Poultry Museum

A new podcast, “Roadshow and Tell” that showcases unique and speciality museums is set to release an episode featuring Brisbane institution the Queensland Bird and Poultry Museum.

The episode features an interview with museum curator David Simons, as well as a tour of the museum and its exhibits. The Museum is run by the Feather Club Association of Queensland Inc and housed in the Caboolture Historical Village in Brisbane, Australia.

David speaks with Kate, the host, on the rich history of poultry fancying in the area, the importance of pure breeds, what makes a prize winning chook, and how pigeons were vital members of the allied forces armies during the Great Wars.
