Brazil's Rio Grande do Sul state ruled out five suspected cases of bird flu in humans, Reuters reported, citing a statement from its health secretariat on Saturday.

Two farm workers and three zoo employees have shown flu-like symptoms after being in contact with sick birds, the statement said. The test results were negative for H5N1 influenza.
