New scholarship supports future poultry, aquaculture leaders
Innovate Animal Ag to award $4K to up to three studentsInnovate Animal Ag has announced the IAA Poultry and Aquaculture Innovation Scholarship (IPAIS), designed to support the next generation of leaders driving technological progress in poultry and aquaculture.
While innovation in these sectors holds transformative potential, it is often constrained by biological complexity and high capital costs. According to Innovate Animal Ag, success will depend on visionaries who can navigate these challenges and unlock new efficiencies.
The IPAIS scholarship is open to American and Canadian undergraduates and high school seniors from agricultural backgrounds who are pursuing studies relevant to poultry or aquaculture and plan to work in those fields after graduation. Up to three students will each receive $4,000 and career advancement opportunities within their sector.
Applications open August 15. More details are available on Innovate Animal Ag’s website.
“New graduates today are entering one of the toughest job markets in years, and students from rural and agricultural backgrounds often face even greater barriers to opportunity,” said Robert Yaman, CEO of Innovate Animal Ag. “Innovation in poultry and aquaculture depends on finding the right people—scientists, engineers, farmers—ready to tackle complex, real-world challenges. With this scholarship, we’re investing in students who understand those challenges firsthand and giving them the support to lead the next wave of progress."
