Brazilian chicken meat exports (considering all products, both fresh and processed) totalled 399.7 thousand tons in July, according to a recent press release from the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA).

The number is 13.8% lower than that recorded in the same period last year (with shipments of 463.7 thousand tons in July 2024) but, at the same time, it exceeds by 16.4% the total exported in June this year (with 343.4 thousand tons).

Revenue recorded in July reached US$737.8 million, a balance 17% lower than the previous year (US$889.2 million), but 15.8% higher compared to June, US$637 million.

"There has been a notable reestablishment of trade with many nations that had suspended imports due to an isolated and now resolved case of Avian Influenza on a commercial farm," said ABPA president Ricardo Santin. "Comparatively, over 50,000 tons have been added to our flow, a number that is expected to expand in the coming months as negotiations are consolidated and all markets reopen."

In the year (January to July), Brazilian chicken meat exports totaled 3 million tons, a figure 1.7% lower than that recorded in the same period last year, with 3.052 million tons.

In terms of revenue, the accumulated balance reached US$5.609 billion, a result 1.5% higher than last year, with US$5.525 billion.
