Pete & Gerry's Organics has launched a new product, according to a company-issued press release. Pete & Gerry’s Organic Pasture Raised Eggs are now available at grocery stores across the United States, the eggs combine organic feed and pasture-raised outdoor access in a single product, offered at a lower price point than similar eggs on the market.

The eggs are laid by hens raised on USDA Certified Organic farms, each with at least 108 square feet of pasture. The birds have access to outdoor spaces where they can forage, dust bathe and engage in natural behaviours. The company says the eggs have vibrant yolks and are naturally rich in choline.

“As more consumers look for food that reflects their personal values—whether it’s animal welfare, health and nutrition, or support for local family farmers—we’re proud to offer our Organic Pasture Raised Eggs to shoppers nationwide,” said Tom Flocco, CEO of Pete & Gerry’s.

The launch comes at a time when the egg industry is facing challenges following a widespread outbreak of avian influenza. Consumers are showing increased interest in where their food comes from, and the demand for premium, sustainable and transparent products continues to grow.

Pete & Gerry’s was the first egg producer in the United States to become Certified Humane in 2003 and earned B Corp certification in 2013. The company recently completed its fifth B Corp recertification. It remains the top-selling organic egg brand in the country.

With the launch of Organic Pasture Raised Eggs, Pete & Gerry’s aims to offer a more ethical and resilient product in response to shifting consumer expectations.
