Brazil egg exports grow 71.9% in August - ABPA
August egg exports jump 72%; YTD up 192%

By: Brazilian egg exports rose 71.9% in August to 2,129 tonnes, including fresh and processed products, the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) said in a recent market report.. Revenue for the month reached $5.729 million (US$5.729 million), up 90.8% from August 2024.
From January to August, exports totaled 32,303 tonnes, a 192.2% increase from 11,057 tonnes a year earlier. Year-to-date revenue climbed 214.5% to $75.295 million (US$75.295 million), compared with $23.943 million (US$23.943 million) in 2024, ABPA said.
Key August destinations were Japan with 578 tonnes (+328.5%), the United States with 439 tonnes (+628.9%), Mexico with 304 tonnes (new), the United Arab Emirates with 182 tonnes (resumed), and Chile with 172 tonnes (-79.6%).
“Shipments to the United States felt the impact of higher tariffs, but we’re seeing renewed demand from the United Arab Emirates and growing interest from Mexico,” said ABPA president Ricardo Santin. “No significant impacts on domestic supply are expected, as exports account for less than 2% of production.”
