Bird flu outbreak hits Czech duck farm

20,000 ducks to be culled, minister confirms no risk to consumers

Czech veterinarians detected an H5N1 bird flu outbreak in a commercial duck farm in the eastern part of the country, Reuters reported, citing Farm Minister Marek Vyborny on Tuesday.

He said about 20,000 ducks will be culled at the farm. No infected products from the farm reached consumers, he said.
