Ukrainian poultry producer MHP SE reported higher revenue and profit in the third quarter of 2025, supported by strong demand for chicken meat, despite ongoing disruptions caused by the war in Ukraine, according to a company-issued press release

Revenue for the three months ending Sept. 30 rose 29% from a year earlier to US$1 billion, while net profit increased 46% to US$140 million. Operating profit, excluding impairment, climbed 15% to US$177 million, although the operating margin declined to 18% from 20%. Adjusted EBITDA rose 27% to US$219 million, with the margin stable at 22%, according to MHP.

For the first nine months of 2025, revenue increased 16% to US$2.64 billion. Net profit reached US$215 million, up from US$141 million a year earlier, mainly reflecting a non-cash foreign exchange gain. Operating profit for the period fell 10% to US$313 million, while adjusted EBITDA rose 4% to US$455 million.

MHP said poultry meat production in Ukraine declined 10% year over year in the third quarter to 151,023 tonnes, reflecting energy supply disruptions, labour shortages and damaged infrastructure. Average poultry prices in Ukraine increased 18% to US$2.45 per kilogram, excluding VAT. Poultry exports from Ukraine were largely unchanged at 88,714 tonnes.

During the quarter, MHP acquired a 92% stake in Spain-based Grupo UVESA, adding poultry and pork production capacity and strengthening its European footprint. The company said the integration will focus on operational alignment, efficiency investments and expanded export capabilities.

MHP said it continues to monitor developments related to the war and peace negotiations, which could affect currency stability, labour availability and domestic demand. The company said it remains committed to humanitarian relief efforts through its charitable foundation.
