Egg Farmers of Canada has been named one of the National Capital Region’s Top Employers for the 14th consecutive year, according to a press release from the organisation

The recognition highlights employers in the Ottawa-Gatineau metropolitan area based on criteria such as workplace environment, employee benefits, training and development opportunities and community involvement.

Egg Farmers of Canada said the organization was selected in part for its workplace culture, which emphasizes collaboration, employee feedback and professional development. The organization offers a range of employee benefits, including a competitive compensation package, paid time off for volunteering and professional development opportunities.

In 2025, the organisation introduced stay interviews and enhanced its performance review system to support goal setting and employee feedback.

"A fundamental part of our corporate ethos is the profound value we place on collaboration and nurturing strong connections across our team. It is our employees' hard work and dedication that allows us to tackle our tough issues and deliver on our mission," said Drew Black, Chief Executive Officer of EFC. "You can feel the sense of community when you walk into our office, and I firmly believe our ability to work together is the key to our collective success. This honour is in recognition of our strong team and their many important contributions to our sector."

Egg Farmers of Canada employs more than 70 full-time staff in Ottawa and works with industry stakeholders and partners across the country. The organization said collaboration across departments supports programs related to market responsiveness, research, sustainability and marketing.

The organisation has also been recognised as one of Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures by Waterstone Human Capital and is included in that program’s Hall of Fame.
