Lula meets EU leaders to tackle trade curbs on Brazilian goods
Leaders agree mechanism to resolve animal product disputes
Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva met European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President Antonio Costa on Tuesday to discuss trade restrictions on Brazilian products, Reuters reported, citing the Brazilian government.
The leaders, who met on the sidelines of the G7 summit in France, agreed to seek solutions to European concerns that have led to curbs on Brazilian goods, and set up a bilateral mechanism to address issues related to animal products and steel trade, the statement said.
