Early signs are that attendance on the first day of the three-day annual event is expected to be up on last year, according to the organisers of the event, the US Poultry & Egg Association.

The exhibition area was down slightly from last year but exhibitors in both halls reported a high level of interest from both US and international visitors. Looking at the name badges, a good proportion of the foreign visitors hail from Latin America, while security alerts and visa problems may account for a further apparent fall in visitors from the Middle East and South Asia, which has continued over some years.
