Partial Offers on Five Doux Sites

FRANCE - French courts have approved partial offers for five of the eight Doux sites, since Doux was declared bankrupt earlier this year. Meanwhile the government has said it will do all it can to help redundant workers find future employment.

It is hoped that these partial offers will save a number of jobs on the five sites.

The French government has said it will take responsibility of those made redundant by the bankruptcy.

Dismissed employees will be offered:

  • Full salary for 12 months
  • A support unit on each site to offer advice to dismissed employees
  • Training to help find future career prospects

The government has said it is determined to help employees find further employment, but also rebuild the French poultry industry.
