Grand Parent Poultry in Pakistan inaugurates new breeder hatchery

PAKISTAN - During May 2007 Grand Parent Poultry (Pvt) Ltd in Pakistan held a commemoration ceremony in collaboration with Hubbard SAS from France to herald the successful completion of its 15 years as leading producer of broiler parent stock in Pakistan and the inauguration of one of the world's largest breeder hatcheries equipped with the latest machinery.

The breeder hatchery was inaugurated on the 11th of May 2007 by His Excellency Mr. Regis de Belenet, the Ambassador of France. In his inaugural address the Ambassador appreciated the collaboration of Hubbard with GPP and commended the establishment of the new hatchery.

Mr. Abdul Basit welcomed His Excellency Mr. Regis de Belenet (Ambassador of France), Mr. Frederic Grimaud (President of Hubbard and CEO of Group Grimaud), Mr. Eric Bohez (MD Petersime) and all the distinguished guests. In the opening speech Mr. Basit highlighted the support of Pakistan's poultry industry and his group's efforts to deliver to the industry's expectations.

During 2 seminars held on this occasion, papers were given by Mr. Eric Bohez, Mr. Yves Jego (Hubbard's worldwide R&D Director), Mr. Olivier Behaghel (Hubbard's Business Director) and Dr. Mustafa Kamal (CEO of GPP). Mr. Frederic Grimaud captivated the audience with an interesting and informative talk. The ceremony was also addressed by Dr. Muhammad Sadiq (CEO of SB Poultry), who chaired the seminar held at Islamabad which was well attended by the members of the poultry industry, including poultry parent stock and broiler farmers, dealers, leading businessmen, executives and bankers.

The seminar at Lahore was chaired by Mr. Shahid Hassan Sheikh (President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry) which was well attended by the members of the poultry industry, including Mr. Tahir Zaidi (Chairman of the Pakistan Poultry Association), Mr. Shahid Dar (Chairman of Pakistan Poultry Association Punjab Zone), Dr. F. M. Sabir (CEO Sabir's Poultry), leading businessmen, executives and bankers.
