Russians Seize Chicken Products

The products being transported by lorry were seized on Tuesday in the Rostov province because of doubts over the authenticity of veterinary documents accompanying the load.

Rosselkhoznador said they were particularly concerned that the date of production in the veterinary documents did not match the date on the labels.

The Rostov veterinary service said the documents also did not show the consignee.

The load had been held while the authorities investigate.
