Print This Page Sharjah Embarks Upon Egg Production Project
UAE - Sharjah Agriculture Development Corporation (SADC) has embarked upon a 120 million dirham (AED) egg production project, which is to occupy a total area of one million square foot.The project, to be executed in four phases over a period of two years at the Seeh Al Lebsa area in Sharjah. According to the Khaleej Times, it will have a total output of 3,500 cartons of egg per day.
According to Shaikh Faisal bin Khalid Al Qasimi, proprietor and board chairman of the SADC, the project will help meet the local market demand and would, upon completion, be the biggest egg producer in the Middle East.
He added that Phase 1 of the project, which will be completed within the next six months, will have an output of 750 cartons of egg per day.
