New General Manager for Aviagen
SCOTLAND - Aviagen has announced that Graeme Dear has been appointed to the position of General Manager of Aviagen Ltd.Mr Dear will be based at Aviagen Ltd’s office at Newbridge in Scotland and will join the company on 1 November 2008. His main responsibilities will include leading and developing the Aviagen Ltd management team and to ensure that product quality, technical and customer service fulfil customer expectations.

Graeme Dear has a BSc in Microbiology and a PhD in fish diseases, both from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. He is an experienced General Manager and has spent the majority of his career in the fish farming industry, having worked as Managing Director of Marine Harvest and Skretting and currently as Managing Director of a division of Selonda SA.
Val Mendeleev, Aviagen’s President, European Operations, commented, “I am very pleased to announce Graeme’s appointment to this important role within Aviagen. His scientific background and in-depth knowledge of the food sector in the UK and internationally will be of great benefit to ourselves and our customers.”
