Print This Page Bird Flu Report from Thailand
THAILAND - The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) has received a follow-up report from the Thai veterinary authorities regarding the latest outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI).
Following an immediate notification dated 10 November, the Thai authorities sent the follow-up report on 17 November. This covers an outbreak of HPAI in a small village flock of seven birds in Village Number 6, ThungPho, NongChang in Uthai Thani province. Five of the birds died, and the remaining two were destroyed. The H5N1 sub-type was confirmed.
