The Director General of the OIE, the World Organisation for Animal Health, will be attending the International Egg Commission (IEC) conference being held in Paris in April. Dr Bernard Vallat will be one of the conference's key speakers; he will present to IEC delegates on the subject of how the OIE and the international egg industry can work together to help to secure future success.

IEC Chairman, Frank Pace, said: "We are delighted that Dr Vallat is able to join us in Paris for the IEC Conference. The World Organisation for Animal Health is the intergovernmental organisation responsible for improving animal health worldwide, and Dr Vallat is one of the most influential people in the egg industry in terms of setting standards; he is one of the key decision makers for salmonella, avian influenza and animal welfare issues. Our conference in Paris, 11th to 13th April, offers a fantastic opportunity for members of the egg industry to meet with Dr Vallat, and to hear his thoughts and suggestions on how the OIE and our industry can best work together in the future."

The IEC conference is a three-day event, and provides an excellent balance of social networking and informative industry speakers. Each conference is carefully designed to help delegates profit from a direct exchange of ideas with professional colleagues and industry experts. Speakers scheduled to speak in Paris on Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 April include Dr Vallat; Pierre-Yves Gerbeau, the internationally famous, and hugely successful French entrepreneur; and Nick Parsons, the Head of Markets Strategy Europe for National Australia Bank.
