Universal chick basket

Up to now, we have been supplying standard chick boxes for the transportation of day-old chicks from the hatchery to the farm, with dimensions of 60cm × 40cm. To clean and disinfect these boxes, however, a separate washing lane is required, which is different from the washing lines for hatcher baskets.

Petersime now has developed a universal chick basket, which serves both as a hatcher basket and as a transportation box of day-old chicks. The key advantage is that only one washing lane is required, which saves substantial space in your hatchery and results in a lower initial investment cost.

The design of the universal chick basket allows for maximum air flow, even when stacked. The choice of materials makes it extremely suitable for industrial washing machines, with rounded ventilation holes for easy cleaning. The depth of the stacked baskets provides maximum chick comfort. The baskets are self-positioning and are compatible with Petersime's Synchro- Hatch^TM sensor.

Farm trolley

Efficient, swift and safe transportation of eggs between the farm and the hatchery is key to minimising your egg costs.

Petersime's standard setter trolleys are perfectly suitable for transportation from the farm to the hatchery. Using Petersime's setter trolleys as a farm trolley eliminates the need to transfer the eggs to a different trolley after their arrival at the hatchery. This not only reduces labour costs, but also the risk of damage to the eggs. Moreover, only one washing lane for trolleys is needed. Farm trolleys are subject to rough handling. Therefore, Petersime developed its setter trolleys with a solidly welded frame and a protective anti-corrosion coating, which will make them last a lifetime. The Petersime setter trolleys have a transport capacity of 4,800 eggs*.

For customers focussing on larger egg capacity per truck during transport, Petersime has developed a high capacity farm trolley, which can be loaded with 6,000 eggs*.

This farm trolley is based on the concept of Petersime's setter trolley. Like the setter trolley, the farm trolley has a protective coating and is designed to be very solid, yet easy to manoeuvre. It is mounted on four large wheels, two of which are swivel wheels with brakes. The trolley's dimensions allow it to pass under a standard doorway.

Using this farm trolley requires transferring the eggs to a setter trolley when arriving in the hatchery. Like all Petersime's trolleys, this farm trolley is suitable for automatic transfer equipment and can be cleaned with industrial washing machines or high pressure water cleaners.
