Knesset Economics Affairs Committee chairman, M.K. Avishay Braverman on 29 December confirmed the Poultry Council’s recommendations for distribution of the industry’s egg quotas between 3,000 growers, two-thirds of them who reside in the Upper Galilee, reports Israel National News.

The regulations will set the quotas for egg production for the coming year (2015) and the year to follow at 2.05 billion eggs per year, as opposed to this year's quota of 1.928 billion.
