Hundreds of Wild Birds Dead from Avian Flu in China
CHINA - Hundreds of wild birds have died as a result of outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza in China.

The first outbreak occurred on Galongcuo Bird Island in Tibet. There were 415 wild birds dead, including brown-headed gulls and bar-headed geese.
The second outbreak occurred in Shuangheer wetland nature park in Inner Mongolia, where 300 black-necked grebes died.
The source of the outbreaks is unknown.
