Bird Flu Outbreak Discovered in Lebanon

LEBANON - An outbreak of H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza has been found in Al Biqa province.

Twenty thousand birds died and over 100,000 more were destroyed on the farm in Sariin Tehta, Bekaa.

The outbreak is thought to have arisen from the illegal movement of animals.
