FAI is looking for a BirdBox Technical Sales Lead with established knowledge and experience within the laying hen industry to join our team in a full-time role. The role will support FAI’s Commercial and Business Development teams, working alongside existing product and account teams to help develop and expand BirdBox sales (https://www.birdbox.farm).

The team is looking for someone who is self-sufficient, adaptable and a strong communicator to deliver new business and partnerships.

Position: Full-time

Immediate Team: BirdBox Business Development Team

Location: Remote with travel required

Deadline: Immediate

Key Skills/Experience

  • Extensive experience of US and wider global cage-free laying hen markets (including barn, free range, organic production)
  • Agri-industry sales background, ideally including technology sales and management
  • Proven track record of developing business
  • Extensive network across US laying hen sector
  • 5 years+ business development, sales activity, conducting negotiations and closing contracts

Personal Attributes

  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Tenacious organised self-starter; able to work independently and as part of an international team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Be able to work autonomously with a high degree of initiative

Desirable Qualifications

  • 5 years+ experience working in agriculture sector
  • Industry training or degree in agriculture, animal science or similar related discipline
  • In depth technical knowledge and experience of poultry and laying hen farming systems
  • Experience of industry application of hardware, sensors, and analytical technology in the poultry market
  • Languages: English required, additional languages (in particular Spanish) beneficial but not required

Additional Information

  • Travel within US, with some international travel required
  • This position is for a remote/home-based role in the USA
