The research team at the University of Nottingham is conducting a research project funded by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) through the Farming Innovation Programme. This project focuses on the potential use of Black Soldier Flies (BSFs) larvae as an alternative protein source in poultry feed in the UK.

The team is looking to speak with commercial and backyard farmers who raise broilers or layers to better understand current feeding practices and explore the opportunities and challenges of using BSF larvae as an alternative protein source in poultry diets. Your insights will help improve the adoption of sustainable feed solutions in the poultry sector.

If you are interested in participating or would like more information, please contact Dr Pattanapong Tiwasing (or Pat) at: [email protected]

Your voice will help shape poultry feed in the UK. Thank you for considering this opportunity to support our research.
