Avian flu aid available for Virginia's poultry producers
HARRISONBURG - Poultry farmers who lost flocks during last year's avian influenza outbreak have until Sept. 19 to apply for aid from the state. More than 4.7 million chickens and turkeys were infected. About 4 million were destroyed.
