High egg prices good for Iowa producers
US - Egg prices at 20-year high levels is good news for producers and Iowa’s economy. The U.S. Department of Agriculture said last week that egg demand is up due to the popularity of high-protein, low carbohydrate weight loss plans, plus research showing eggs are healthier than once thought. The price rise comes after several years of low prices.
